A Book and April Fools Day
April Fool's Day seems like just the right moment to restart the blog entries.
For one thing, this is the day I am "publishing" the book called Four Summers. This is an illustrated account of our past four summer seasons spent sailing in the Pacific Northwest. It includes stories and accounts of our discoveries, accompanied by many paintings, sketches, photographs, and maps. Some of the book grew out of entries on this blog, but there are many elements that are new or as yet unshared. I spent much of this past winter in Portland compiling this book; the Captain made major contributions as editor and enthusiastic co-conspirator. You can view the book and order a copy online at http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/invited/119527/821fff5ccd8985efdaa2f4bd58d64930
For another, April will be our final month fooling around in Portland. Around the first of May, we will set out again on Indigo.
